This page has been created to correct mistakes often found in auctions and give you an idea of how much an Odyssey is worth depending on its condition and the presence of additional games, accessories and documentation.

Before getting excited by high prices, please understand that a lot of buyers are located abroad where the US dollar has a lower value than their currency, hence a higher final price than when only US buyers participate to the auction. In this last case, the ending price is often significantly lower unless newcomers push the prices before understanding the situation.

This section is also important for collectors willing to purchase the original 1972 Odyssey instead of a later specimen, which looks almost the same. Sellers often believe that their Odyssey dates 1972 because the box and manual shows a 1972 copyright. However, only 40% of the whole production was really made in 1972. The rest was made between 1973 and 1975. An Odyssey manufactured in 1972 shows model 1TL200BLAK and RUN 1 on its bottom and Inspection Card. The first table below will tell you the year of manufacture according to the model and production run. The second table lists completed auctions and shows that there is no fixed value for an Odyssey: its price is only a matter of how many people find the auction and whether they know how much to pay for it. Unsold items are not listed. Please understand that this table may not show every auction. It is compiled when free time allows and may not be updated every week.
