Make-It-Yourself projects
Electronics Today International, november 1976
Here is a classic project based around the AY-3-8500
game chip from General Instruments. The interesting sides of the article are the few components
required to form the circuit (as the chip contains almost all of them), and the fact that a huge
number of commercial systems used the same chip, so it is also interesting to know how they
work. The article is a bit long compared to the simplicity of the circuits, but it is detailed
and explains the games quite well.
